Custom Wall Calendar
A good custom wall calendar can really add something special to any office, be it a regular cubical type office in an open area surrounded by lots of coworkers, or in that fancy executive suit corner office. Having your own office calendars custom printed can be a great branding tool as well. When it comes to custom wall calendars there are several important things to keep in mind that you may or may not have really thought about. Price is right at the top of that list and in fact most people would start there when thinking about having them printed. But price is contingent on several things and I'll discuss them as well.
Another aspect that you will need to put considerable thought and effort into is design. Now there are obviously printers out there who can slap on their own designs, but these tend to be generic in nature and not really all that flattering to your business from a branding point of view. If you want the most bang for your branding buck, you'll want to design the calendar yourself. If you don't have an artistic bone in your body, that's ok too. You can hire someone to help you, or a lot of print shops have a team of designers who you can sit down with to iron out a more custom design than the regular generic designs they might offer to most customers. Expect to pay a little more for this type of service, but I think you'll agree that in the long run, it will be well worth the marginal extra expense.
Custom printing prices: these can vary depending on where you go to purchase your calendars. This will also vary depending on the quantity of calendars you will be purchasing. Another way this can vary will depend of the number of colors you use in your custom wall calendar. We don't often think about it in this way, but each color you use requires a separate process in the overall printing process. Using different colors means using different ink, and the more ink that you need to use, the more cost is involved. So expect to pay more for vibrant full color. If price is an issue, you can specify the use of just one or two colors. Using only one color doesn't necessarily mean your calendar will look bad, that one color can be used in different shades (dark here, light there, etc) to give your calendar a very nice and professional look at a sometimes significant price reductions. So keep that in mind.
Bulk discounts are the norm here. It is standard practice to charge less for these things depending on how many you buy, and the more you purchase at one time, the cheaper they are going to be on a per unit price structure. For a wire spiral binding calendar of around 10 inch by nineteen inch (when open) using glossy paper and full color images, you might (for instance) pay around fifteen dollars per calendar for five hundred of them, nine dollars per calendar for one thousand of them, four or five dollars per calendar for twenty five hundred of them, and two or three dollars per calendar for five thousand of them. That's a normal sort of bulk discount scale, just to give you an idea of what you're looking at.
